Enough of peace now let war do the talking...

'What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy' this was said by our own Mahatma Gandhi in "Non-Violence in Peace and War". But today it does make a difference, we need war to justify the death of the orphans, the homeless, the poor most importantly the death of the numerous citizens of India due to the mismanagement of the so called people's government. We need a war to stop this in future, We need a war not only to end the faceless inhuman terrorist but also the politicians who make us look such a soft target in the world. We need a war to remove these pest called politicians from our lives so that they do not plague our children's life as well.

Yes in my view WAR would be the only intelligent option for us (by us I mean we Indian's)...but to be specific the war I am referring to would be primarily against the Indian Politicians and our corrupt system who make us pawn to their game, whenever they get a chance. Unfortunately we are being ruled by such people who even in such tragic situation worry of nothing else than what the opposition will think and plan, how much can they frisk off from the funds. How shameless and avaricious can they be? I am quite sure they would even sell the whole country to terrorist and extremist if they would be promised of money and position. Politicians are after all politicians, but again who elects them WE; in spite of knowing we are electing a thief, we opt to vote. I am not saying we should not vote we should vote to 'not-to-vote'; as all candidates are bigger burglar than the others. Thus, we should also fight a war against ourselves for being so spine less and bad decision makers.

The latest terror attack created a great hue and cry, but is it because this time the terrorist attacked the elite too. It seems that even the terrorist had noticed that to injure India it is necessary to prick the thousands of rich and famous too, apart from the million unknown hardworking middle class and lower class citizens. Look at the reaction that came after the Mumbai attack, just because it was basically aimed at the upper strata of the society there was such responses like resignation of the home minister, CM and deputy CM of Maharashtra etc not that any one is complaining. But before Mumbai, there was also attack on Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmadabad, Assam and not to mention the daily struggle of our own Kashmiri's; there have never been such an outrage except empty promises from our government in the form of promises of safe India tomorrow...( a tomorrow that never comes), promises of compensation that hardly reaches the affected. Why didn't the government of the respective state take such decision then? Why didn't the central government demand the resignation of Home Minister earlier. If these steps were taken earlier then we could have averted the death of many later on. Can the death of rich and famous only force the government to take such steps? Is the life and blood of common man just a vote bank and nothing else. We need a war to fight this injustice against the greater section of the society. We need a war so that our voice can not only be heard but also answered.

Why to blame the terrorist alone. They attempted such an audacious act only because they knew how prepared and alert INDIA was. If we had a proper system in place this would never had taken place. We would never have lost great soldiers and commandos for the mistake and
irresponsibility of the politicians. As a citizen I would like some answers to some crucial questions concerning my life ...which is Can't the politicians for once stop fishing for votes and think about the country and the people who made them what they are today? Its been 61 years since India got freedom from British but why do we still follow the pagan law and rules implemented by them? Don't we, the Indians have enough knowledge and expertise to have our own unique law and regulation which could further be a paragon to others? Enough of being a copy cat why can't we be followed by others than we being the followers. Its high time, we need to come together and wage a war against all injustices, atrocities that we have faced till now.

If not today when will we get up and fight. There should not be more blood flown of any Indian and we can do it only by fighting together as one, as 'INDIANS'.

Tips for Effective CV

Begin with name and contact details :
Make this information available at the beginning of your CV. Try ready sample resumes available in MS word .This should include your postal address, phone number (preferably mobile number) and e-mail address (only one). If a company wants to call you for an interview or needs to communicate with you for any further information, Justify Fullthey will look out for this information. If it is buried somewhere inside the CV it will not only put them off but also reduce their chances of contacting you.

Write an appealing career summary
This is your chance to bring forward relevant strengths and skills to the recruiter. Everything in your CV should support your Career Summary. If there's anything that doesn't support your Career Summary, you should reconsider listing it.

You should write your Career Summary around your skills, attitude, knowledge and experience. There are two schools of thought on writing the career statement.

Some people think that it should be a short 30-40 word paragraph while others give it liberty to be covered in 4-5 bulleted points. Whatever you decide on, ensure that everything relevant that you want to sell to the prospective employer is covered here. At the same time, it should not become nauseating.

Focus on your work experience, responsibilities and achievements
If you are an experienced candidate, your work experience is your main asset. Include the details of the relevant jobs you have done in the past. You should present your work experience in a chronologically descending order ie the last company first.

This should include the name of the company, your designation and tenure followed by your job responsibilities and achievements. It is always better to present this information in bulleted format rather than a clumsy paragraph. Mention some figures when you talk about your achievements.

For example:
Worked as Business Development Manager for XYZ Company from June 2000 to January 2004.

Job responsibilities:
• Setting up 7 franchisees across 4 countries
• Maximising the business from existing customers to the tune of $ 200,000

Your next asset is your educational qualification
Educational qualifications play an important role in the recruitment of freshers. If you are a fresh candidate, focus your CV on your qualifications and achievements during your student life.

Write about your out-of-work achievements, interests and hobbies
These reflect your personality and skills. Present the relevant achievements in the order of priority ie the most important achievement first. Similarly, present your interests as well. Write about the achievements that display a facet of your personality. For example, if you have been the president of your college, do mention it. It shows your leadership skills.

Short sentences with more impactful words
Lengthy CVs put the recruiter off. Keep the sentences short and use words that demonstrate your hold of the situation like managed, arranged, supervised etc.

Formal font faces
A font like Verdana-10 should be good for the content while the Name at the top can be written in Verdana-12, with a bold font face.

Use the same tense through out the CV.
Changing the tense in every second line leaves the reader confused and annoyed.
Now, put together both the articles ie 12 things your CV should not have and 8 things to make an impressive CV. Draft and re-draft your CV keeping the points mentioned, till you are satisfied that you have presented the facts in the most impressive and convincing way.

The Social Networking Beckons

"Rahul is no more working on the project , time to shift on another." One of my colleague read this on his LinekedIn network updates. The statement was followed by a motif just to remove my frustration on client. But this makes him to look over my profile more closely. Some times same thing happens when you publish something like this "I'm committed or is no longer in a relationship." You will be greeted with a flood of messages on your "wall or scrap book" that more or less enquires about your either current GF or broken relationship". Though I'm not a social network challenged person but this too much social media espionage scared me a lot.

Why this sudden need to constantly update the world about one's life man? That's mainly because an entire generation of people are addicted to social networking & that's a virtual kind one. Frankly speaking it's not just you & me, some people had reported on twitter that even their mom's adding them on Facebook, orkut & many more. One of my old colleague Disha, 22, a blogger was a self-confessed Facebook addict (no idea about her current addiction ;^]). Then who isn't? Even I'm addicted to Gtalk, Orkut & yahoo messenger. Her office hours use to start by signing into her Facebook account & even she use to manage to check her friends update, chat with them in the middle of her all activities.

Apart from this, all social networking sites allows us to upload pictures & videos, which makes your friends privy to your lives. I admit that some time I had taken pictures of mine just so I can upload them on my profile for everyone to gawk at it. It some times gives you an opportunity to show others what a wonderful life you are having. But there is a catch!!

Now day's recruiters are checking their candidates profile for everything. Don't be surprised if companies like Wipro, Reliance & many more are running background checks via our own social networking profile. So before you list your preferences for anything over here, think twice as your boss or colleague may get knowledge about it before you want them to know.

Social networking sites are becoming favourite time pass for teenager's. For working categories, it's place where they can kill their time or remove their frustration by playing different application like Slapster, Scrabulous, Crapster or watching videos. Most popular versions of chess , Scrabbles & Sodoku are available on various networking sites, play them with your colleague siting next to you or live on your virtual world.

Social networking sites are slowly turning into a virtual version of speed dating, where you know instantly what are their interest are - will you get anything better & faster than this? So if you are still single & ready to mingle, this is a most correct place for you to get your partner. What more could a dude want?

Yahoo Calls On Outside Developers to Knock Down their competitors

Search engine giant Yahoo is moving ahead with plans to open up its home page and e-mail services to third-party content.

The move comes at a difficult time for the beleaguered company -- earlier this year, Yahoo spurned an acquisition attempt by Internet rival Microsoft triggering vitriolic infighting among its shareholders over the future of the company.

Yahoo is the second major Internet company this week to announce plans to open up its sites to content from other Web-based services, such as social networking site Facebook and Google . Time Warner's AOL announced similar moves on Thursday.

Long Time Coming

The company is adding new features to Yahoo.com that will allow users to search for content from other sites. For example, Yahoo Music users will be able to look for music downloads from Amazon.com . Also, Yahoo users will be able to add links to their Yahoo home pages to services such as Netflix , a site that allows consumers to rent DVDs and have them sent to their homes.

According to me, Yahoo is a great asset that needs to be refreshed. You could call it a Web 1.0 leader that fell behind newer companies like Facebook.

Gillis credits Yahoo CTO Ari Balogh with pushing Yahoo in its new direction. Balogh started at Yahoo on Jan. 29.

"The story here is that there's a new CTO at Yahoo, and he's been hell-bent on opening up the platform," Gillis said. "Yahoo's been stuck as a declining asset with their current strategies while its user base fragments out to other sites like Facebook. It can continue that trend, or it can throw itself out to the world."

Calling On Outside Developers

On Friday, Yahoo hosted a "hack day," inviting Internet application developers to build new services that work off of the Yahoo platform.

The strategy is one that has made sites like Facebook and MySpace extremely popular, Gillis pointed out.

"Each Internet property has to make the decision," he said. "Facebook was the one that made everyone take notice."

The success of Facebook was largely due to third-party developers building services and games for the site. For example, one of the more popular Facebook features allows friends to send one another virtual cocktails. Facebook also offers trivia games and fantasy sports applications, and lets users form affinity groups and fan groups for specific pro and college teams.

"Those games engaged users and got them to get their friends to come onto Facebook," Gillis said. "Yahoo is letting the developer community innovate in ways Yahoo developers might never think to innovate."

Closing the Google Gap

The reason behind all these moves is the desire to bring more traffic to Yahoo in the hope that a new influx of users will click on online advertisements, thus generating more revenue. Right now, Google is the undisputed leader in that sector.

"How is Yahoo going to catch up to Google? Build new algorithms? Come on," Gillis said. "They opened up their platform to a new search results technology called 'Build Your Own Search Service' (BOSS) this past summer."

Developers, startups and large Internet companies can use BOSS to build and launch Web-scale search products that utilize the entire Yahoo search index.

BOSS gives developers access to Yahoo's investments in crawling and indexing, as well as ranking and relevancy algorithms. By combining outside developers' ideas with its search technology assets, Yahoo hopes to bring users search results and features that make navigating the Web easier and more relevant.

New war begins with Opera 9.6 launch which aim at Chrome

Google Chrome; what to say about this browser guys not worth to praise, still the developers at Opera aren't taking any chances. Opera had been voted as one of the best browser on the usability which not only looks brilliant but also gives a joy to it's user. Are Opera people, though they are most excellent (but much-neglected) browser in their pocket, fearing to lose market share to this new entrant?

As we can see core of Opera haven't change much as usual, but 9.6 will address almost all bugs and performance issues of 9.5 version we had faced. The new 9.6 beta also scores an 85 percent on the Acid3 test; Opera 9.5 scores 83. In the Human Computer Interface department, Opera 9.6 now lets you drag tabs between two windows -- not a big deal, but apparently someone saw Chrome do this and decided that Opera should too (industrial copy cat act).

Still some how I feel that their no death for Opera as Chrome has entered in this market as one can clearly see there are exceptions.

The most important thing you do today is download Opera 9.6. Have fun with new beta version!

FAQs on Windows reboot bypaas

  • How to get on top of Windows restart
With each new version of Windows, Microsoft promises that you'll have to restart your computer less often. However, the promise never seems to materialise. Restarting a Windows PC is not only a dreaded task -- thanks to the amount of time required to load Windows -- but always seems to be required when you least desire it.

Wondering if there could be a magic want for a faster reboot, and also one that can cut down on the number of times you need to restart? Here's why your Windows asks for those 'restarts' and also how you can speed up the process.

  • Why those restarts?

Typically, the reason you're asked to restart your computer after you install a programme is because the programme you installed requires some file or driver that is loaded automatically when you start Windows. Or it's possible that the programme changes a setting in Windows that necessitates restarting your PC.

Keep in mind that a programme will usually seek your permission before restarting Windows. If offered the opportunity to "restart later," choose that, and see whether the programme you just installed will run without restarting.

Often it will, as the component that requires a restart of the PC may not actually have anything to do with the running of the application -- it could be a scheduling utility that runs in the background, for instance.

Also, if you ever find yourself installing several applications at one time, as and when you first boot the computer, save any restarts till everything is installed.

  • What if you do not restart?

Generally nothing. If you choose not to restart your PC after being asked to do so, the component or application that was just installed may not either work properly or at all. But there are very few installations that absolutely require a restart of your PC to run properly.

One exception is an installation that makes changes to a hardware component -- BIOS updates are a good example. Typically, however, if a restart is absolutely required, you will not be given an option not to.

  • Is there a faster way to restart?

No, not in recent versions. In Windows 98, you could (and still can) hold down the Shift key while clicking Restart, and the PC would skip the initial hardware boot-up screens.

But Microsoft has removed that capability from XP and Vista.

  • Will shutting down PC help?

Yes. In fact, when restarting your computer in an effort to troubleshoot some problem, many technicians advise turning off the computer and leaving it off for 30 seconds or so.

The reason: completely clearing memory of all running processes and applications is thought to take approximately this long.

Free online radio service from Froopper.com

Fropper.com, the social networking site from the People Group (Shaadi.com) has launched a free online radio service. They have around 15,000 songs available online, sourced from labels like Venus, Saregama and Tips, as well as regional content providers like Aditya Music, Krunal Music and Sagarika Audio.

According to Navin Mittal, head of Fropper.com,

  1. The content will be from PPL and IPRS and around 60 percent of the industry is covered.
  2. If they’re able to sell 60 percent of the display inventory at around Rs. 50 or Rs. 60 CPM, they’ll break even in the first couple of years. Also, Mauj (the group’s mobile content company) will fit for this.
  3. Over 95 percent players are running, while others have had to install Adobe (NSDQ: ADBE) Flash 9.
  4. They’re trying to build engagement for their users and improve the User Interface.

I feel that this is a very good step from Fropper team & are waiting for people's response as it is not a popular idea in India.

Does Microsoft Completes Danger Acquisition?

Microsoft hinted that it might keep the software and hosted architecture built by Danger, the mobile company that designed the software behind the Sidekick. The software giant announced the completion of its acquisition of the mobile developer on Tuesday.

Danger's operating system and applications work in tandem with back-end servers to deliver services such as games, social networking, Internet access, Web e-mail and instant messaging. T-Mobile's Sidekick, manufactured by Sharp, is perhaps the best-known Danger device.

Workers at Danger, including co-founders Matt Hershenson and Joe Britt, will join Microsoft in a new group, the Premium Mobile Experiences team, within the Mobile Communications Business.
Danger employees will continue to work from their current offices, which are in Palo Alto, California; Duluth, Georgia; Billerica, Massachusetts; and Reading, U.K.

We think using Danger's consumer software could help Microsoft better compete with other popular new consumer mobile offerings, such as the iPhone.

Google distorting 'historical facts'

Iran has slammed popular web search engine Google, charging it with distorting "historical facts" by referring to the 'Persian Gulf' as 'Arabic Gulf'.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mr Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said "Raising such issues about a historically-documented and undeniable term is illegal".

The official characterized Google's move as a "political ambition" while commending Iranians living in the country and overseas for sending protest e-mails to the Web portal, Iranian media reports said.

We think this is a "insulting the intelligence of the international community" & "knowingly or unknowingly" following the lead of external powers aiming to provoke conflict in the region.

The handsets targeted at the developing countries are expected to hit the market in the third quarter of this year. The Finnish company, which makes four out of every 10 phones sold globally, has been fiercely defending its dominant position in the emerging markets. Indian .IN v/s .COM in 2008 Tough fight

Recently .IN domains were introduced as an Indian domain extension. Now had gone far beyond just being that. News has it that lots of international players are booking .in domain name simply because .in can stand for internet and can even be used in context of speech term very much like how popular blogs like trak.in and pluggd.in have used them.

.in

Cool terms like travel.in or fly.in and many others if you just use for your immigration company. Of course these many of these domains would be booked by domain squatters.

According to Net4 COO Desi Valli, “The total .com registrations from India are about 475,000. The .in domain registrations from India will overtake on many .com sites worldwide in 2008.”

Even domain extensions like .us .tv .fm have been used very innovatively like del.icio.us and .tv for video websites and .fm for online radio/audio streaming websites like last.fm. Few people know that .us is for us centric sites and .tv is the country code top level domain (ccTLD) for the island nation of Tuvalu while .fm is for the Federated States of Micronesia. Just goes to show that the internet is not only innovative with applications going forward it would also get innovative with domain name. As Bhavin Thakuria of Directi states we could soon see a .hr for hr sites and .am for am radio online going forward as well. All of this just going to add to the business possibilities and use of domains in context on the web.

So Guys get ready to use our own .in domain & show our own Silicon valley power. Get ready to new shining India.
